Louie Cagasan Jr. is the ACTRC Research Officer for Curriculum Review Project. He was the Project Lead for the study of Formative Assessment in the Philippines (Phase 2 and 3). He was also involved in other projects of ACTRC such as Science and Math Curriculum Study and LearnARMM where his contribution included doing psychometric analysis and facilitating discussions with teachers to generate learning progressions.

Louie holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of the Philippines-Diliman Extension Program in Pampanga (UPDEPP). He is a senior member of the Personality Research Laboratory of the UP Psychology Department and is one of the authors of Masaklaw na Panukat ng Loob (Mapa ng Loob), a Filipino personality inventory based on the Five Factor Model. He taught Psychological Measurement at the UPDEPP and had been part of assessment projects such as Learning and Assessment for Digital Citizenship at the Faculty of Education, University of Hong Kong. His research interests are in the areas of personality, educational and psychological assessment, and the use of assessment to teaching and learning.
