ACTRC at the National Convention on Educational Measurement and Evaluation 2015

The National Convention on Educational Measurement and Evaluation (NCEME) 2015, hosted by the Philippine Educational Measurement and Evaluation Association in partnership with SEAMEO INNOTECH, was held on 25-26 September 2015 at the Manila Grand Opera Hotel, Doroteo Jose, Sta. Cruz, Manila. The theme of the conference was 21st Century Student Assessment Across Levels and Disciplines. The work of ACTRC was presented by Centre Director, Dr Therese Bustos, Lead Science Researcher, Dr Marlene Ferido, and Research Officer, Joesal Marabe. Dr Bustos presented on Outcomes-based Assessment in Higher Education. She discussed the nature of outcomes-based assessment, related it to the Philippine context, and presented an example of how outcomes-based assessment is used in a higher education course on Special Education. Dr Ferido discussed the Development of a Science Inquiry Skills Test, and Mr Marabe shared the work the Centre has been conducting on Assessment of 21st Century Skills in the Philippines.
