ACTRC trains DepEd NCR supervisors on building assessment competence

ACTRC recently delivered online professional development modules on Building Assessment Competence for DepEd National Capital Region (NCR) Region, Division, and District Supervisors. A total of six training sessions were conducted on September 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, and 18 via Zoom.

Each of the modules covered important topics about classroom assessment purposes and process, including assessment planning, collecting evidence, interpreting assessment evidence, using assessment interpretations, and evaluation of the assessment process.

ACTRC Director Marie Therese A.P. Bustos, Deputy Director Marlene B. Ferido, and Research Fellow, Pam Robertson delivered the training and served as subject matter experts. At least 400 participants attended the training. The participants consisted of Chief Education Supervisors, Education Program Supervisors (EPS), and Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDS) from the 16 Schools Division Offices (SDOs) and the Regional Office (RO) of DepEd NCR. The training involved lectures and activities on each step of the assessment process, and participants had the opportunity to share experiences and discuss relevant issues amongst each other in breakout rooms.

This project was organised in partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) and the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) of DepEd NCR.
